Life Coaching

Jim works with Autistic adults and their families to provide practical guidance, emotional support, and collaborative problem-solving tailored to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. His approach is grounded in respect for neurodiversity and focuses on helping people thrive as they are—not on trying to “fix” or change them.

Jim supports Autistic adults in areas such as executive functioning, communication, relationships, employment, independent living, and navigating systems that were not designed with neurodivergent people in mind. He breaks complex challenges into manageable steps and offers tools and strategies that work in real life, adapting his approach as needs evolve.

For families, Jim serves as a trusted partner. He helps parents and caregivers better understand autistic experiences, reduce stress and conflict, and move from crisis-driven responses to proactive, thoughtful planning. His work fosters healthier communication, clearer expectations, and stronger relationships across the family system.

At the core of Jim’s work is empowerment. He helps Autistic adults define success on their own terms and supports families in moving forward with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Recovery Support

Addiction Recovery Coaching: Coaching vs. Therapy

In addiction recovery, both therapy and coaching are valuable—but they serve different purposes at different stages of the journey:

Therapy is essential for healing

It helps individuals understand the root causes of addiction, process trauma, and address underlying mental health issues. Therapists provide clinical support to stabilize and guide someone through the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery.

Coaching is about rebuilding and moving forward

Once someone is on the path of recovery, coaching focuses on creating structure, accountability, and a vision for a sober life. It’s about developing new habits, setting goals, strengthening mindset, and navigating real-world challenges without returning to old patterns.

A simple way to frame it:

Therapy: “Let’s understand and heal what led you here.”
Coaching: “Let’s build the life that keeps you moving forward.”

Recovery isn’t just about staying sober—it’s about creating a life you don’t want to escape from. That’s where coaching becomes a powerful force.

“Therapy helps you recover your life. Coaching helps you design what comes next—because IT’S YOUR TOMORROW!”
